the standard for bondibai is for 1 cup rice 2 cups of sugar.. so for ur recipe u will need 4 cups of sugar.. otherwise the bondibai will not be sweet enough and the proper taste will not come… Also u put pandan leaves and cardomon and cinamon sticks/powder which actually brings out the real handoo bondibai flavour in it.. the modern version adds cinamon powder cause it’ll give the bondibai some color as well.. but i prefer the older version cause it’s much nicer and the flavours are not soo strong..
