500 g Potato (diced into about 1 inch pieces)

1 can of tuna chunks/flakes (drained)

3 tbsp tomato paste

3 tbsp curry powder

1 cup onion (thinly sliced)

½ cup curry leaves

1 tbsp garlic (crushed)

3 inch Rampa leaves (cut into ½ inch pieces)

1/3 tsp cinnamon powder

1 tsp ginger (grated)

5 cardamom pods

1 tbsp chili (chopped)

1 cup coconut milk

½ cup coconut cream

1 cup water

2 tbsp vegetable oil

Salt to taste


1Boil the potato until well cooked (7 - 10 minutes)

2Heat the oil

3Over medium heat, sauté the onions, garlic, ginger, chili, cardamom, curry leaves and rampa leaves

4Once the onions are browned, take a tablespoonful of the mixture and add to the coconut cream and leave aside

5To the sautéed onion mixture in the pot, add the tomato paste, cinnamon powder and curry powder

6Add the water gradually to mix everything into a smooth paste

7Add the coconut cream gradually, while stirring to avoid clots

8Add the potato and tuna

9Cook over medium heat until it boils (stir regularly)

10Once it boils, lower the heat, add the coconut cream with the sautéed onions and simmer for a few minutes and remove from stove.

11Serve with roshi or rice
